Diane
moved to Santa Barbara in 1966 and was educated here.
For the twenty-four years, she has owned and operated the Waterhouse Gallery
with her husband Ralph, a successful landscape artist.
Diane
and Ralph are avid art collectors and have over 90 paintings
in their present collection. When asked about how she feels about
art and the gallery, she says
"We love the art business-it is our life!"
Her late father, Joe Makray, was a noted portrait painter whose
paintings still hang at Harry's Plaza Cafe.
Diane and Ralph have a 13 year-old daughter who loves art. Diane
is crazy about German Sherperds!
Diane was previously on the Executive Board of the Downtown Organization
serving as Secretary, Director of Promotions and Treasurer. She
is currently on the Board of Santa Barbara Beautiful and is a
Trustee
of the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.
Diane has her Real Estate license
and is affiliated with Sotheby's,
Santa Barbara.
