moved to Santa Barbara in 1966 and was educated here.
For the past thirty two years, she has owned and operated the
Gallery with her husband Ralph, a successful landscape artist.
and Ralph are avid art collectors and have over 130 paintings
in their present collection. When asked about how she feels about
art and the gallery, she says
"We love the art business - it is our life!"
Her late father, Joe Makray, was a noted portrait painter whose
paintings still hang at Harry's Plaza Cafe.
Diane and Ralph have a 21 year-old daughter who is studying Film
at UCSB and loves art. Diane is crazy about German Sherperds!
Diane was previously on the Executive Board of the Downtown Organization
serving as Secretary, Director of Promotions and Treasurer.
She served on the Board of Santa Barbara Beautiful and was a
of the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.
is currently on the Womens Board at the Santa Barbara Museum
Diane has her Real Estate license
and is affiliated with Sotheby's, Santa Barbara.
