Jacquelyn Bischak is
a lifelong artist. She received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree
in 1987 majoring in Life Drawing and Painting. A large portion
of her career has been spent working in automotive advertising,
most recently for Leo Burnett Co.. She began painting professionally
in 1998 and considers it to be her transition from the "World
of Advertising" back to the World of Fine Art.
"I have always enjoyed figurative drawing, learning to paint
the figure has been an amazing journey. I will continue to focus
on figurative painting; working to improve my technique so that
I speak clearly, and simply capture moments of beauty, thought,
and unity. I hope to leave behind paintings that embody this
present moment."
Jacquelyn admires and
studies the dark, realistic and direct style of American artist
Frank Duveneck and Ceilia Beaux. She has studied the paintings
of the masters in museums, galleries and private collections;
which is the primary influence of her unique style of representational
art. Recently, Jacquelyn was given the FineArtViews. " Top
10" Award by juror Jeremy Lipking for her painting "Velvet
Cape". In July Jacquelyn was invited to be a member of the
International Guild of Realism and will be showing in the 2010
Juried Exhibition at the J. Willot Gallery in Palm Desert, CA.
Jacquelyn lives on the
northern shores of Lake Michigan near Frankfort, with her husband,
architect Mark Bischak. Her studio overlook the orchards of the
Joyfield Valley. Her distinctive paintings are in numerous private
collections. She has a ongoing list of Juried Exhibitions, Awards
and Gallery Shows.
