Marsha Gertenbach-Butman was born in Denver, Colorado. She attended UCLA and Otis Parsons School of Design. As a multi talented artist, she focuses most her work on the human figure, although she also works in steel and recently completed a large steel sculpture for The San Diego County Parks Department, which is now installed in Wilderness Gardens in North San Diego County. Her travels throughout the world, including India, have influenced her choice of subject matter. Her works have won numerous awards in Southern California, and she recently won Directors Choice Award in the 2001 California Art Club Gold Medal Juried Medal Exhibition for her sculpture, The Fourth Angel. Marsha Gertenbach Butman is a Sculptor Member of the California Art Club. |
