Mary Carol Kenney was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 25th 1953. She attended Herron School of Art and Indiana Pudue Univerity Extension in Indianapolis from 1971 to 1973 before taking a short break (30 yrs.) to raise 3 children. Mary Carol moved to Santa Barbara, Ca .in 2002 with the singular desire to become the artist she had always wanted to be. She began taking sculpture and ceramics classes at Santa Barbara City College Adult Ed Div. and started painting with Rick Stich in the fall of 2004.
She is a member of The Santa Barbara Art Ass. and The Santa Barbara Sculpture Guild, and has recieved numerous awards in both sculpture and painting. Mary Carol can't believe how lucky she is to be doing what she loves in paradise.
