Bill Rhea
- Artist Statement
I'm a California transplant living
and painting in New Mexico.
I studied at the Academy Of Art University in San Francisco and
was privileged to study with some of the best in the business.
Painters such as Craig Nelson, Laurie Kersey, Randy Sexton
and Brian Blood are both friends and mentors.
I love living and painting in New Mexico, and I feel like the
subject
matter of high desert and mesa is what I was born to paint.
The subject matter I'm typically attracted to often times
has a lonely feel to it, though lonely isn't how I'd describe
myself.
