Diane Waterhouse

Diane moved to Santa Barbara in 1966 and was educated here.

For the past thirty five years, she has owned and operated
Waterhouse Gallery with her husband Ralph, a landscape artist.

Diane and Ralph are avid art collectors and have over
130 paintings in their present collection.

When asked about how she feels about art and the gallery, she says
"We love art and the art business - it is our life!"

Her late father, Joe Makray, was a noted local portrait painter
whose paintings still hang at Harry's Plaza Cafe.

Diane and Ralph have a 25 year-old daughter who has
a BA in Film & Media Studies from UCSB.

She is Education Coordinator for the Santa Barbara
International Film Festival.

Diane is crazy about German Sherperds!

Diane was previously on the Executive Board of the
Downtown Organization serving as Secretary,
Director of Promotions and Treasurer.

She served on the Board of Santa Barbara Beautiful
and was a Trustee
of the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.

Diane is currently on the Womens Board at the
Santa Barbara Museum of Art

Diane has her Real Estate license
and is affiliated with Sotheby's, Santa Barbara.
