Diane moved
to Santa Barbara in 1966.
For the past thirty seven years, she has owned and operated
Waterhouse
Gallery with her husband Ralph, a landscape painter.
Her late
father, Joe Makray, was a noted local portrait painter
whose paintings still hang at Harry's Plaza Cafe.
Diane and Ralph have a 27 year-old daughter Claire.
She is currently Education Director for the Santa Barbara
International Film Festival.
Diane has served on the Board of Santa Barbara Beautiful
and was a Trustee of the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.
She has
been an active member of the Womens Board
at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art for 12 years.
She been
involved with the Santa Barbara Museum
of Natural History for the last ten years curating "Art
Walk"
and now "The Artist's Table".fundraising events.
She is on
the Art Foundation Boad at the Santa Barbara Club.
Diane and
Ralph are the Santa Barbara Chapter Chairs for the California
Art Club.
Diane is also a Real Estate Agent
and is affiliated with Sotheby's, Santa Barbara.
